On Friday 22nd December 2017, members of the 2120 Squadron community were joined at the Corn Exchange by the Mayor, Cllr Chris Woodward, Wing Chairman, Mr Jon Payne and representatives of the Royal British Legion and Royal Air Forces Association. This assembly was in order to celebrate the successes of the year, and award the Squadron trophies to the surprised recipients.
As usual, the Squadron also premiered its annual review film to a delighted audience. This short film features photographs and video captured through the year of Cadets and Staff enjoying the myriad of Cadet activities, and brings back happy memories for all the participants.
"The annual awards evening is always an enjoyable event, giving the perfect chance for the whole Squadron to reflect on successes past whilst looking forward to future challenges and opportunities. It also provides a fun event for the wider Squadron family to come together in a social setting and join with me in celebrating and congratulating all the winners.
We remain grateful to Witney Town Council for the generous grant which annually permits us the use of the Corn Exchange, and for the attendance of the Mayor, who with the Wing Chairman, added to the event by presenting the awards."
The Squadron eagerly awaits the challenges and opportunities of 2018, and welcomes new supporters and members at all levels. More information is available by contacting the Squadron or telephoning 01993 862974.
